Welcome to Problogging.co.za. A blog dedicated to help South Africans make money from blogging.
I’m Jason Bagley, and I have been blogging for little over 1 year. I don’t pretend to know everything there is to making money from blogging, I do know a number of individuals that do. It really isn’t rocket science, and I want to share and grow my knowledge of making money online with you. I found it very exciting the first time I made my first few hundred dollars - yes dollars! - from blogging, and trust me, I didn’t do anything special. So I want to teach more South African’s so that they too can utilize the internet to grow our country.
The internet is a passion of mine, and being able to make money from something you love, is really awesome. Blogging is just an extension of that, and this blog will be my soapbox to show those that think it can’t be done, how easy it is to start blogging, and eventually turn it into a money making machine!
Would you believe that there are people out there that do this and make more than R50 000 a month? And there are people that have taken it so seriously that they blog full-time and make more than R140 000 a month! This isn’t an elite few people that got in early and have ridden the wave of success, people are starting it all the time, and if they enjoy it and want it to work, it does.
So lets get more South Africans online, and grow our little corner of the internet.
So here’s to your blogging success!
Jason Bagley

One question - how do you get paid? I want to sell a newsletter online, and the closest I can come to payment is 2checkout.com, with the cheapest option their an airmail cheque ($4). Google wants a US bank account, Paypal doesn’t accept SA, etc. etc.

Hi Martie,
Google doesn’t need a US bank account. My cheques from them come in South African rands! I do recognise the problems with being South African and not being able to use Paypal (check out my rant about it here - Paypal in South Africa), but most affiliate programs do offer the sending of cheques. There is enough of these type of affiliates to not have to worry about using Paypal.
What type of newsletter are you wanting to sell? Have you heard of Amigo? They sell advertising for newsletters.

Hi Jason,
I am so glad that I read your article on blogging. Writing is a passion of mine and I would love to learn how to blog, not just for the money, but for the enjoyment and to add value to other who read the bog. Where can I read other bog’s and how do I get started. I would appreciate your help.
Thanks

Hi, am glad I found some people with the same problem as myself. I’ve been trying to find a way of selling my own e-Books but it seems impossible! How do you get people to pay you, if nobody will work with SA. I’ve also been doing the affilliate business for two months now and have already made 13 sales but I am so scared that when the time comes for my check to arrive I’m going to be told that Click Bank does’t send checks to SA either…please someone tell me that they do send checks to SA!
HELP!!!

There are a lot of good and reasonably priced sites to teach you how to set up from the beginning - please visit my site and you will get my start up as I am building from scratch. I do advise a lot of reading before you set forth….blogbizbuzz.com
